The Lambeth Lions Club was formed in 1977 with Claire McLean as its first president. We have numerous projects that we support. For example, we work with Lions Homes for Deaf People to build homes across the Province of Ontario for people who are deaf, deaf/blind or deaf with multiple handicaps. We are very active in the Lambeth community by supporting the Lambeth Jr. C Lancers hockey team, Lambeth Football Club (soccer), Brownies and Lambeth Fest.
In our Memory Box Program we support families who lose a child at the Childrens' Hospital in London. Because the hospital serves a large geographical part of the Province of Ontario our club has a strong provincial flavour in our work.
Beyond the province, we support international programs to eradicate measles, provide disaster relief, support international student exchange and help with other world wide needs.
The Lambeth Lions Club meets at the Lambeth Community Centre at 7.00 pm on the first and third Thursday of each month. The first Thursday is a business meeting while the third Thursday is a dinner meeting There are no regular meetings during July and August. The board meets as required.
Annual dues are $80 and the dinner meal is $15. A one time membership initiation fee of $40 is required upon joining the club. Membership in our club is very affordable.
Membership is open to men & women throughout the London area who are civic minded, wish to help others and enjoy the camaraderie of working together harmoniously.
In addition to our work helping others, we enjoy a social program ranging from a Christmas dinner with Santa, dinner out on Friday the 13th to our year end barbeque in June when we celebrate a year of succes fulfilling our motto "WE SERVE".

Autumn finds us eagerly anticipating the joys of volunteerism with the start of another year in the quest to help make this a better world for all concerned. Harvest Fest finds us participating in the parade and helping with other functions during this festival.
One of the highlights each year is our Annual Fund Raising Dinner and Auction. The proceeds from the evening support the Memory Box program and our ongoing community projects. If anyone makes a donation to the Memory Box program for $20 or more a receipt for income tax purposes can be issued.
